Ingredients
For the topping: | ||
5 | pcs | potato, peeled and cubed |
6 | Tbsp | milk |
½ | cup | cheddar cheese, grated |
⅛ | tsp | nutmeg |
To taste | salt and pepper | |
For the pie: | ||
½ | pc | white onion, finely chopped |
1 | Tbsp | garlic, minced |
3 | Tbsp | olive oil |
300 | g | ground beef |
1 | can | Hunt's Pork & Beans 390g |
⅛ | tsp | sage |
⅛ | tsp | salt |
⅛ | tsp | pepper |
Procedure:
- For the topping: Boil potatoes until cooked. While still hot, mash potatoes with milk, cheddar cheese, and nutmeg. Season with salt and pepper.
- Saute onion and garlic in oil. Add ground beef, then continue sauteeing until beef is cooked.
- Add Hunt's Pork & Beans and sage into the mixture. Season with salt and pepper.
- Assemble sauteed meat mixture in a casserole with mashed potatoes on top. Heat in the oven or microwave.
